The Bothy at Cowmire Hall, Winster Valley nr Crosthwaite, The Lake District
A romantic hideaway in the lovely Winster valley in the English Lake District, The Bothy at Cowmire Hall is a delightful, first-floor holiday appartment in a converted loft with its own Rayburn and woodburning stove, a perfect romantic retreat for those who want to get away from it all.
The cottages consists of a hall, large living-room/kitchen open to the roof-space with a gallery or sleeping-platform above the kitchen area; shower-room and twin-bedroom. The kitchen is well-equipped, with an oil-fired Raeburn cooker that also provides hot water and central heating. There is also a wood stove (with a supply of dry logs), a television set with DVD player, and good quality furniture (but no telephone, though ours may be used in emergencies, if you have no mobile). Fuel, bed-linen and towels are included.
