Warwickshire
So why should you spend your holidays in Warwickshire? For a start we have found a very cute cottage just north of Warwick which is a great base for a short break. For all you foodies out there, some good places to eat include the Bluebell in Henley in Arden, voted Best Dining Pub 2008 in the Coventry and Warwickshire dining awards. Tailors restaurant in Warwick gets excellent reviews (it’s on our “must visit” list) and seems excellent value for money, especially for lunch during the week. Read more...

Rutland makes a lovely undiscovered alternative to the Cotswolds; there are many lovely villages and local pubs to discover, typically built from the local yellow ironstone, connected by lovely winding country lanes.
