Mint Cottage ~ A romantic cottage in historic Lavenham, Suffolk
Mint Cottage is a fabulous old Weavers Cottage in a beautiful tiny village. It sleeps a couple in luxury. The Historic Building dates from the 16th century and is located in the tiny historic village of Lavenham. This village is a truly amazing place to visit and is probably the last unspoilt medieval village in England. Mint Cottage has many period features – beautiful broad oak floor boards, ancient beamed arched rooms and old brickwork.
The bright sitting room features a big open log fire to enjoy while you relax in the comfy sofa. The small kitchen dining area contains all of the modern conveniences including dishwasher, refrigerator & washing machine. You can walk straight out from the kitchen onto to a sunny patio which has panoramic over this tiny village and onto the surrounding countryside. Steps leading down from the patio bring you into a large mature garden, which is shared with Penny Cottage next door; which is also part of our small group of holiday cottages.
The magnificent bedroom has a high vaulted ceiling with a wealth of ancient oak beams, historic broad Elm Floor boards and a wonderful luxurious four poster bed. The bathroom is en suite and has a modern bath and shower. There is full central heating throughout the cottage.
This cottage is 5 Star rated because of the very high quality of furnishings and equipment, because of this we are unable to offer this lovely cottage to guests with pets or to smokers.
