Warwickshire Romantic Holiday Cottages
So why should you spend your holidays in Warwickshire? For a start we have found a very cute cottage just north of Warwick which is a great base for a short break. Warwick castle is a must-see – it’s one of the most impressive castles we have visited in England. Warwickshire has a lot more to offer than that though: there’s a good range of things to see both in cities and countryside alike. The most famous person to be born in the county is good old Shakespeare – born in Stratford-upon-Avon in the south of the county. His birthplace is worth a visit but does get crowded in the summer. For all you foodies out there, some good places to eat include the Bluebell in Henley in Arden, voted Best Dining Pub 2008 in the Coventry and Warwickshire dining awards. Tailors restaurant in Warwick gets excellent reviews (it’s on our “must visit” list) and seems excellent value for money, especially for lunch during the week.
