Romantic Holiday Cottages in Worcestershire ~ The Hen House at Brook Farm near Ludlow

Sleeps 2 - Peace and quiet are guaranteed at this lovely hideaway in the unspoilt Teme Valley close to Ludlow. Owners Sarah and William have thought everything: from a welcome pack of local goodies (enough for a relaxed breakfast or two) to a well stocked kitchen, local soap and natural toiletries.

The nine acres of gardens around the Hen House at Brook Farm ensure a sense of seclusion and tranquillity – guests are encouraged to slow down and enjoy the natural surroundings: as Sarah and William suggest:  “Go for a walk in the country - maybe not very far, perhaps just to a nice spot by our brook, sit in a hammock with a book or lie on the grass and just watch the wildlife and the clouds go by.  And on a beautiful clear night enjoy the stars without any light pollution.  Now that is what we call really enjoying your planet.”

The Hen House is tastefully decorated and has a lovely bedroom, a big bathroom with bath and shower, and a long open plan sitting room/kitchen. Linen and towels are included.

Guests also have use of two bikes, use of the nine acres of grounds with walks from the door and sunny barbeque spot. Cat-friendly and well-behaved dogs are also welcome (the grounds are shared with two dogs, two donkeys, three sheep and a multitude of cats!) Optional extras include local meat and cheese platter, organic vegetable box and aromatherapy massages. 

In the local area the most perfect and fabulous garden, Stockton Bury Gardens, is just a 10 minute drive away. Just around the corner is Burford House which has the National Clematis Collection in its lovely gardens, a garden centre and cafe. Nearby Ludlow has many excellent and famous places to dine.
