The Owlery ~ A romantic cottage for couples in Devon

Sleeps 2 + Cot – The Owlery is a perfect cottage for couples as it is situated in its own area of valley at Dittiscombe, with lovely views over the orchard and valley and close to South Devon's finest beaches. This cottage is just 15 miles from majestic Dartmoor and some of the outstanding film locations for War Horse including Haytor Down. A warm and romantic welcome awaits guests inside the cottage with a wooden floored open-plan sitting, dining and kitchen area featuring a wood burner, circular glass dining table and candles, sofa and coffee tables, electric oven and hob, and microwave. There is also WiFi, a digital TV, DVD player and an Ipod player with FM radio.

The bedroom has a king-size bed and is set on a galleried mezzanine overlooking the sitting room. Steps down from the sitting room lead to a luxury bathroom with an oval air bath, big enough for two, and in which guests can have a gentle and relaxing aquamassage. There is also a separate shower cubicle.

Outside the garden overlooks the small pond and is partly gravelled and planted with sea-side loving plants. There is a separate paved area with patio furniture with raised shrub borders and climbing plants. A further private lawn area looks up the valley and into the orchard, an ideal spot for birdwatching.

Bath and hand towels are provided in this cottage. The cottage has its own parking space. This is a pet-free cottage and due to its layout The Owlery is also not suitable for a mobile baby.

Dittiscombe Valley is located close to historic Slapton village, beautiful Dartmouth and romantic Salcombe. Enjoy the nature trail and over twenty acres of private open space with ponds, woodland and meadows, or a little bird and wildlife-watching from your own cottage garden.
