Here Helene and James Sherwin have lovingly restored the ten acres of grounds and many of the buildings. As a result this cottage is contemporary yet comfortable and welcoming. Court Farm Cottage, with its own private entrance, is in boutique hotel style and has two double bedrooms with their own bath & shower rooms and is available for short romantic breaks and longer holidays. Located near Frome on the Somerset/Wiltshire border it's only twenty minutes south of Bath.
You’ll find delicious linen on the big comfy beds, large soft towels and robes in the bathrooms and ‘Cowshed’ or other yummy products for you to use during your stay. Downstairs the floors are polished stone with under floor heating and upstairs you will find wide oak floor boards. Both gorgeous barefoot!
Logs are supplied throughout your stay for the Danish wood burning stove so you can snuggle down and make yourself cosy. Watch a DVD or Sky on the Bang and Olufsen TV, listen to some music or maybe just curl up with a good book.
The kitchen is well kitted out (big range-style cooker, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer etc.) and there is a granite topped dining table, attractive kitchenware, china, and glassware to use.
The two double bedrooms are calm spaces each with their own lovely bathroom – one has a very large shower and the other a contemporary bath.
This luxury cottage overlooks a delightful courtyard full of herbs, pears, figs and swooping swallows from late April to September. Chairs, hammock and barbeque are all there for those long lazy summer days.
There is a range of indoor and outdoor toys and a games room with table tennis, table football, darts and Nintendo Wii. A lot of baby equipment is available...just ask. And in case there are more of you, Court Farm has other bedrooms and more space available for family get-togethers, parties and larger events including wedding receptions. The owners can also arrange delicious hampers, cooked food for guests to warm and serve themselves - there are even some great chefs who will come over to cook in the cottage.
