Sleeps 4. Aptly named “Lover’s Cottage” this beautiful thatched cottage is tucked away in the village of Lover on the edge of the New Forest, Wiltshire. Well equipped and full of character with low beamed ceilings, the cottage is ideal for those intimate getaways and special anniversaries.

Completely restored in 2010, the style here is country chic with Laura Ashley fabrics and a tasteful mix of period pieces and “Olde Worlde” charm.

The owners live next door and are on hand to help with ideas for sightseeing or the best local places to dine – they can also arrange for the fridge and larder to be filled with goodies or even champagne on ice. They also run the local butchers and so can supply lovely quality local fresh meat, sausages etc.

In the area: Lovers Cottage is on the northern edge of the New Forest National Park well known for its wild ponies.  This beautiful, wild area is perfect for birdwatching, exploring on foot or on bicycles.  Within 5 miles the historic Salisbury (5 miles) with its ancient cathedral is ideal for sightseeing.
