The Knoydart peninsula on the west coast of Scotland is reached by fast water taxi, ensuring you will instantly have that ‘getting away from it all’ feeling in what is one of the UK’s last wildernesses.

Owners Jackie and Ian Robertson have effortlessly blended the new with the old. Outside, the building impresses with its copper roof and jagged shapes mirroring some of the landscape surrounding it. Inside, you’ll find a selection of carefully picked antique furniture adding a sense of indulgence blended with all the latest mod-cons such as Bose bluetooth, super-fast broadband, Nespresso coffee maker, hot tub and infra red sauna.

Unique to luxury accommodation of this standard is the fact that little ones or a well behaved pet are also welcome and catered for. A chance to enjoy this escape with the ones you love!

The living room is perfect for relaxing on the lazy boy and stylish sofas around the cylindrical Danish wood burning stove. Every window is designed to take in the unique landscapes surrounding the Hide, from the far reaching views across Loch Nevis to the woodland views from the bedroom and en-suite. It’s this unrivalled setting which makes Knoydart Hide so very special.

Imagine waking up in the antique mahogany super-king sized bed with half canopy, slip into a fluffy monogrammed spa robe and wander over to the kitchen to make what will be a unique breakfast in bed with unbeatable, floor to ceiling views of the surrounding forest.

The luxury theme continues in the bathroom; underfloor heating gently warming the Italian tiles, a large walk in monsoon shower and above all the oval shaped freestanding bath large enough for two with undisturbed views across woodlands through the floor to ceiling height windows. Next-door you’ll find the infra-red sauna or your can wander outside and relax in the private hot-tub kept at a perfect temperature year-round.Enter the studio via your own private entrance - with underfloor heating of course, combined with lovely soft furnishings and warm timbers. You’ll be drawn to the patio doors leading onto your own decking with stunning views,a fatboy hammock for two, outdoor lighting and seating. Take a stroll to remote beaches, climb one of the three munros on our doorstep or head out to The Old Forge pub only 10 minutes walk away mainland Britain’s remotest pub - Guinness Book of records. Enjoy craft ales served staright from the local brewery or enjoy local traditinal folk music in an impromtu misc session. If your lucky you may even catch a glimpse of the aurora with a dancig display of the Northern lights.

Fancy cooking up a storm? The well equipped kitchen makes it a pleasure with Denby crockery, a bread maker, induction hob, microwave oven, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge freezer and Smeg appliances. Every eventuality is considered so there’s no need to worry about little details such as lobster crackers, wine keepers and scales.

One of the pleasures of staying on the Knoydart peninsula is the fact that you’re on foot. This slows you down and as such Knoydart really is one of the last places to escape the daily rat race of the outside world. But you won’t be bored; there is so much to see and do here, from walking in the area, watching the undisturbed wildlife, going for a pint in the local pub (the remotest i mainland Britains - Guinness Book of Records to simply relaxing around the Hide, whether it is in the sauna, the hot tub or soaking up the views on a lazy morning in bed.
