We aren’t allowed to have favourites, but this retreat pulled our heartstrings. The Granary Barn is a gingerbread house-style getaway in rural Suffolk with bags of country charm making it a wonderful place to escape to with your partner. From the outside it looks like something straight out of Little Red Riding Hood – with wooden cladding and a peaked little roof. Situated just outside the village, down a country lane, it is sheltered in its own peaceful patch.
Head to the heart of the romantic Bronte countryside to discover a hideaway which mixes wild Yorkshire moors with luxury. Higher Scholes Cottage, next to the quaint town of Haworth, has its own hot tub, log fire and gorgeous four poster bed.
