Perry | A luxury hot tub lodge for couples on the edge of The Forest of Bowland

This boutique hot tub lodge is an ideal getaway spot if you’re looking for a romantic break in the Lancashire countryside which has views, oodles of style, and your own private hot tub. Perry is located on the edge of the Forest of Bowland, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with great walks, villages, pubs and views. We love the combination of having the great outdoors on your doorstep, as well as the super stylish interiors with freestanding bath, super king bed and high end finishes.

Situated in the Ribble Valley, Perry is an easy drive from Manchester or Liverpool, and far enough from London to feel you have truly escaped! (About 4.5 hours in the car) This part of the world is full of greenery, and has the famous Tolkien walking trail to discover, as well attractions such as the historic Clitheroe Castle and Bowland Brewery on its doorstep.

Before you get started on your explorations, this romantic retreat is one to bask in. Perry can be found in the countryside, overlooking private woodland. Drive up, and leave your car in the free parking adjacent to the lodge.

Outside, you’ll have your own decking area, complete with outdoor seating and perfect for an al fresco lunch in the sunshine, or a morning coffee with a great view.

The first thing you’ll find as you enter the lodge is a calm and open kitchen and dining space, with sleek designs making this a classy home from home. The kitchen contains everything you might need for cooking while you’re away, including a dishwasher too, and there’s the perfect dining table for two set out for you to enjoy. And to make your break extra romantic, get in touch with the owners for optional extras like Afternoon Tea, Brownie Box or flower bouquet.

Perry’s living area is a great place to sit and relax, with beautiful views through the large window, right in front of the comfy sofas. There’s complimentary wifi running throughout the lodge, and TVs for you to chill out when you want to put your feet up.

Walk through from here and you’ll next come to Perry’s luxurious super king size bedroom, where you can wake up to country quietness. There is a beautiful en suite bathroom, which has a particularly modern feel with freestanding bath, a waterfall tap and separate power shower, all with the same high quality feel that flows throughout the retreat.

Head out through the door and you’ll find your own exclusive hot tub. This can be found tucked away under a large canopy, meaning you can lay back here whatever the weather. The owners of the lodge have designed this space for real relaxing – in the daytime, look out and enjoy the country views and, in the evenings, switch on the little star lights above you and you can enjoy a twinkly night in the bubbles.

When you’re ready to head out, there’s lots of choice of things to visit and enjoy. As well as a myriad walks, there’s the Gisburn Forest Bike Trail a short drive away. Head to see Bowland Wild Boar Park, or Ribchester’s beautiful Stydd Gardens. For food recommendations, you’re spoilt for choice too. We fancy trying the fancy Northcote restaurant, or how about the beautiful traditional (and luxury) Higher Buck in Waddington.

Some practical information about Perry: Check in is on Mondays and Fridays only. You can stay for 3, 4 or 7 night stays and a 25% deposit is required to secure your booking. A £150 returnable breakage deposit applies. Sorry, but no pets or groups.
